Njord Bindrune, Embroidery Beanie

Njörd (in proto-Germanic: Nerþuz) is a Nordic deity (vanes group), god of the Sea and the Winds.
He brings good luck at sea and good fishing.
He is married to the giantess Skadi, but his children were conceived with his own sister. They were Vanes and were exchanged during the truce with the Aesir. The latter appointed Njörd and Freyr, his son, as high priests to preside over the sacrifices. Freyja, his daughter, was consecrated as sacrificial priestess. She taught Vaniran sorcery, a common art for the Vanish gods.
Her sister and the mother of her children would have been Nerthus, who did not accompany them to the Aesir, as the Aesir disapproved of unions between brother and sister.
Skadi could only choose him by looking at the feet of her suitors. She chose the one with the most beautiful feet and soon regretted her choice, as Njörd's residence, Noatun (in Ásgard), was too noisy because of the many ships being built around it. In any case, Njord did not like Skadi's home in Jötunheim either, so they had to come to a conclusive agreement that they would live half the year in one house, and half in the other.
The ambivalence of the couple is obvious, Njörd being a symbol of fertility, good fishing and good luck, while Skadi came from an icy, rocky and arid mountain range that low clouds permanently masked from the Sun. No man could have lived in this wild and unforgiving land, where nothing could hope to grow.
A snug, form-fitting beanie. It's not only a great head-warming piece but a staple accessory in anyone's wardrobe.
